Paley, Ron
Pianist, electric bassist, and composer, Ron Paley formed the Ron Paley Big Band in 1976 after playing bass with the big bands of Buddy Rich and Woody Herman, with whom he recorded two CDs. Ron's big band performed several concerts with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra featuring original works for big band and symphony orchestra. It also toured with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet playing Ron's arrangements of songs by Rogers and Hart for the ballet "A Cinderella Story." The Ron Paley Big Band has released its third CD: "Bring 'Em Back!"
