Neu, Andrew
Well-respected throughout the industry for his work as a saxophonist/ woodwind player, composer/arranger, and recording artist, Andrew regularly tours with Bobby Caldwell, Diane Schuur and Smokey Robinson. He has shared the stage with Sir Elton John, Patti LaBelle, Melissa Manchester, Mel Torme, Diane Schurr, The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Four Tops, and The Temptations among others. He has recorded as a soloist with Sister Sledge, Manhattan Transfer, Buddy DeFranco, David Sanborn and Peter White,. Fueled by the success of his first album, Inspire (2000), Andrew released his second CD, In Clear View (2007), produced by bassist Brian Bromberg featuring performances by Jeff Lorber, Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Gerald Veasley and the Bright and Tight Horns. As a longtime featured soloist and arranger of the Brian Pastor Big Band, he has more recently performed with the Dave Stahl Band. A graduate of Temple University’s Esther Boyer School of Music, Andrew has performed with the Curtis Institute of Music Orchestra, at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Scullers in Boston, and Birdland in NYC. Neu is a voting member of NARAS and the Grammy Awards.
